Body distance. .The function of body language can be seen in the following sides. 1.Teaching in class. 2.Feedback the message of teaching and study. 3.Con
3、trol the students behavior in class. How to understand the fuof body language. 1. Facial expression is the barometer of the primary school English teaching 2. Using students facial expressions to advance the process of teaching 3.Sign Language-the shortcut of English teaching (1).Why teacher should
4、adopt sign language in teaching.(2)Using sign language to express instructions and to organize the English course teaching. 6、rn English.In humansdaily life ,language can heip teacher communicate and tyansmit information.Besides this language,which is generallly called phonetic language, body language such as expression,action etc can also be helpful in communicate is a process of developing coherent thought. From the trad
7、itional methods of learning English we can find that we always accept information through logic thought of mother tongue and then transform it into english thought to reflect the information of English, This violates the objective laws of language formation. The result is that many people become“gia
8、nts”in language test but“dwarfs”in language use. So,an english teacher should creat a fine environment of using English as much as possible in English lessons,let students ope their mouths to speak. However, many primary school students meet and study English for their first time.If all the knowledg
9、e points are taught in English,they can not understand theacheraims and can not know what they should do. The American psychologist Albert Malabelon certifies that among the ways people get information vision takes up 83%. According to this he set up a formula: emotion expression amount to 7% words
10、plus 38% sound plus 55% countenance and action. Here these 55% information are expressed though body language.So,In order to avoid students feel vacuous or even feel afraid of English learning, the primary school teachers should use body language .It can motivate studentsinterests,attract students a
11、ttention,train students abilities of directing thought and make students study English more quickly,easing,So,what is the definition of body language?.Body language is an important media through which peaple communicate with each other. Body language, is also usually called posture language or dumb
12、culture, is a kind of special method, which is developed concomitantly with the development of language skills, to express emotion. It is also a kind of silent signals such as bodies, look, and posture that are widely used by humans to exchange information.The Classification of body language.1 .Bear
13、ing Language. It means a personsexpressional attitude. It can be classified into two kinds.(1) Countenance(Facial expression) Facial expression is akind of “word language”in human beings history.Human beings happiness, anger, sad and gladness can totally be reflected by the countenance. Though obser
14、ving the countenance we can understand the inner psychological movement of others. The famous writer Roman Rolland once said, “The countenance is a successful language which has been fostered for several centuries. It is more complicated than the language spoken out from the mouth.”So,if teachers ca
15、n utilize the facial expression language to solve the problems which may appear in the classroom,they can adjust the classroom atmosphere and thus enhance the better teaching effect .Always keeping smiling can encourage and praise students.However ,cut-and-dry fical expression will make students fee
16、l confused. How can a teacher take the smile into the classroom? “The education is indeed important, but we do not need the board face to treat it”.Teachers can tell students about their own interesting experiens and humorous stories . Teacher can also let the students sing or perform some funny cla
17、ssroom stories or the short dramas and so on. (2) Eye contact Eyes are the windows of spirit.Judging from the message in peoples eyes ,we can know his or her mirth, anger, approval and disapproval,likes and dislikes. Eye can speak, Ralph Waldo Emerson said that the eyes could talk as much as the ton
18、gue does.Eyes can send information and effectively express the exquisite feelings.Whats more teachers cansee if our students listen to lessons carefully and these are the results of teaching in students and control students behaviors in order to accomplish teachind aim. As for teachers, they should
19、let students know that in their eyes there is not only kindness but also graving; there is not only acceptance but also anticipation; there is not only tolerance but also admonition; there is not only denial but also encouragement.2.Sign Language It means expressing meanings by postures made by hand
20、s. The range of sign language is smaller than the carriage language. But in body language, its variation of motions is the most, biggest and quickest. Sign language, which is generally used by teachers, can be classified into four kinds. (1) Indicative Sign Language When using things or pictures to
21、teach English, teachers can ask questions with the help of this sign language. (2) Demonstrating Sign Languag The aim of using this language to perform the teaching is to help the students to understand the teaching content. (3) Commanding Sign Language The main character of this language is conduct
22、ing the students actions. (4)Token Sign Language It is used to describe the appearance of things or humans.3 Gesture Language It also can be called actions. It means using bodies such as hands, feet, head etc to perform a series of combined actions to help the students understand the difficulties. T
23、he primary school students study mainly relies on teachers carriage language. With the help of carriage language, teachers can help students think following teachers descriptions. At the same time, its very important to use gesture compendiously, properly, naturally and diversion form.4. Body distan
